Data Capture
Data Capture allows businesses to extract the information from a printed or electronic document at the incoming source, be it from a fax, post, or third-party system. Information in the document run's through OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and allows text searching. What is searched for and extracted is the intelligent part. VEN are certified in Adobe, Kofax, Dicom, and I-Pro data capture systems. These systems provide a complete range of extraction types, from unstructered forms, such as accounts payable invoices, to structued forms with handwritten responses, such as delivery notes.
Data capture removes the need to perform repitive tasks on similar input. Once captured the information will be automattically released to an archive folder, a collaboration site, the document management system, your accounts system, etc. We have built data capture and retrieval systems for TRANS4M, Network Rail, Bouygues UK, several Boroughs, as well as many of the top 20 legal firms.
